Carissa is guided through source to facilitate therapeutic movement and share the practice and benefits of yoga to all beings. Carissa completed her 200RYT Intuitive Flow certification, guided by Shay Palmer, giving her the ability to flow with therapeutical vision as she guides all bodies, of all ages, through movement! For Carissa yoga isn’t just a physical practice, she believes that when we come together as a group to practice yoga, not only do we lift our individual consciousness, we lift the universal consciousness.

​Like roots of a tree, we spread out and seek to connect, to grow, to evolve. A seed was planted within Carissa and throughout her 15 years of practice she has nurtured and loved this seed to sprout into a tree that provides support and stability to those around her. Carissa’s teaching style has evolved into a mixture of vinyasa and yin yoga, dubbed yin & yang yoga, which provides students the ability to ignite their own fire through the beginning intuitive vinyasa flow and then allowing their bodies to slow down, release, and be re-born at the end of the practice through the ending yin flow. No matter what class you take with Carissa, you’ll be guided by sweet tunes that will awaken you at the end of the practice feeling strong and soft, worked and relaxed; feeling a duality of this practice all within one flow that will allow you to immerse yourself into the true essence of yoga, yogas chitta vritti nirodah.
