Liza’s yoga journey began over 20 years ago when she discovered the pain relief it provided for her back due to Scoliosis. Over time, she became passionate about the practice and loved the flowy, energetic style of vinyasa based classes.
This passion grew into goals of one day being able to create sequences and flows of her own to share the magic and benefits of yoga with others. Liza received her 200hr certification with YOUniversal Yoga and was part of the very first YTT graduating group! Her favorite thing about yoga is how it can be such a personal practice to each and every one of us in our own way. She loves that the physical asanas can increase strength and flexibility while the spiritual aspect can bring peace and contentment within. Having a lifelong background in dance and a family history of musicians, Liza loves to incorporate fun, rhythmic movement into her flows and encourages laughter, love and light as an ongoing theme for her students to thrive in. She’s known to bring an eclectic music playlist to move and flow to everything from Rock, to Reggae or R&B & Hip-Hop. She believes in encompassing the traditional integrity of the practice without taking ourselves too seriously and can often be a little bit of a “yogi class clown”. Some of her favorite poses are Tree Pose, Dancer’s Pose and Goddess Pose. Liza’s Yoga Flow aka all-levels vinyasa flow sequences will always vary based on the energy in the room, but at the end of the day, if her students leave smiling it’s all she needs to feel fulfilled. When not practicing yoga, Liza runs her own art & design-based business as a Graphic Designer + Art Director and also loves to paint. She enjoys spending time with her husband Chuck, being a mommy to her son Luke and snuggling with her pug dog, Fenway. She can often be found paddle boarding or swimming on the beach, illustrating designs of pineapples or eating tacos! |
